The Bellarine Peninsula has a lot of hidden pockets of beauty, but of so long I had overlooked Edwards Point in St Leonards. Edwards Point is a Ramsar Site (one of 12 in Victoria) and is an international wetland of importance. From coastal woodlands to a magnificent coastline, the reserve is home to a large amount of indigenous plants and animals.
You can ride or walk through this area, we chose to walk to The Two Bays Lookout at Edwards Point Wildlife Reserve and return along the beach.
The whole walk was about 7km round trip, I recommend long pants as a lot of the grasses come across the path and can be quite spiky on the legs.
